New Water Treatment Facility Orchard Farms School District St. Charles, Missouri

The project was for the construction of a $1,000,000 triplex Greensand-plus pressure filter water treatment facility. The project also included hydropneumatic tanks, skid mounted Duplex softening system, a packaged polyethylene brine maker, an induced draft aerator, detention tank Clearwell, well and transfer pump controls. The existing well was converted to a pitless booster station.

Engineering Report Wright City, Missouri

Our firm provided an Engineering Report for the City’s water system for MoDNR State Revolving Funding Program requirements.

PWSD #1 of Lincoln County, Missouri

MECO has been the PWSD #1 of Lincoln County’s engineer for 35+ years. There are currently 5,080 water connections. The Water District has 5 (five) operating wells and 1,450,000 gallons in water storage. In 2018, MECO designed, permitted and provided construction management for the new Well #9 (500+ gpm) and waterline extension to connect to the distribution system.

Howard County New Water Treatment Facility New Franklin, Missouri

This newly organized regional water commission includes the cities of Fayette and New Franklin, and the Howard CPWSD #1. These three entities realized the need to evaluate the feasibility of developing a new water supply source and new water treatment facility to serve the customers currently served by the three separate systems. The HCRWC submitted an application through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Engineering Report Services Grant Program in 2009 and was awarded $50,000 grant for the preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report for the evaluation of the project. As the Commission’s Engineer, our firm prepared the PER, which was the basis of the design for the new facilities. The Howard County Regional Water Commission is the consolidation of three water supplies for the cities of Fayette, New Franklin and Howard County CPWSD #1. In order to provide reliable water to the region, a new facility was required. The project included two new wells capable of producing between 1,000 to 1,500-gallons per minute, a new lime softening treatment plant that can produce a 1.5 Million Gallons per Day of finished water utilizing onsite CO2 and Chlorine Generation, a new 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, and over 11-miles of pipelines to connect to three entities. Services provided by our firm for this project included: Facility Plans and Design, Treatment and Distribution System Design, Construction Phase Services, MEP and Electrical Design, and Surveying. This project completed at just over $15 million dollars.
